1. Synonyms and Antonyms
Synonyms are words that mean almost the same: happy / glad, big / large.
Antonyms are opposites: hot / cold, begin / end.
Try this: Give an antonym for fast. (slow.)
2. Past, Present and Future Tense
A verb can tell us when something happens.
- Present (now): I walk to school.
- Past (already happened): Yesterday I walked to school.
- Future (will happen): Tomorrow I will walk to school.
Tip: Most verbs add -ed for the past (jump → jumped), but some change (go → went).
